Alternative clothing

I live in the Bay Area...there's GOT to be a ton of alternative clothing shops around here somewhere...but I must be missing them because I don't get out much. I am tired of shopping at Mervyn's, Ross, and WalMart with the occasional Hot Topic splurge. It's hard to find things that aren't TOO mainstream when all you shop is the VERY mainstream

There are a bunch of used clothing store on Telegraph in Berkeley. But everything there can be a bit expensive. Sorry I can't be of more help, but I really suck at shopping to begin with.

There are SO many in berkeley. If you go down Bancroft, there are a lot of used and alternative clothing stores. If you want like gothic clothing store, there is one down on telegraph (like when the telegraph stores begin). I forgot all the names of the clothing stores though because it has been awhile. but I know can picture where they are in my head x_x I am sure if you walk around bancroft and telegraph, you can totally find some.

There's a place in Berkeley called Jeremy's that sells brand names for good prices. You can also check out Nordstrom Rack and/or H&M.

Ahh, I will check into it. Nordstrom Rack and H&M are not quite what I am looking for though. I'm looking for really edgy original unique clothing, not just anything that's cheap or discounted, and definitely not name brand =/ I'll keep it in mind though.
