Life... or something like it....

Life has been.... incrediably boring as of late. ^^;  I have, so far, read something along the lines of ten books, ranging from 400 to 1000 pages each out of sheer boredom.

Simply because of this, I'm going to enter a rant ^^;

I always knew their were inconsistancies in the books. Some of them are really blatant and you can catch them during your second read thru. However, some you don't grasp until later. For instance:

In the first book, when Hagrid is telling Harry about his parents he says something about 'James and Lily being Head Boy and Girl in their day'. However, in book five Sirius boasts that he and James were always in and out of detention so Lupin got the prefect badge.

See the issue I'm running in to? If Lupin was made prefect, and not James, it's quite impossible for James to become Head Boy.

There are other issues I've run across, of course. For instance:

Harry had the Maruaders Map for almost the whole of his 3rd year, yet never once did he see that Peter Pettigrew was sleeping in the next bed over, nor that Sirius Black was roaming about on the grounds - as it clearing reads that Harry was looking at said map before he went down the the Quidditch pitch the day he saw Sirius in the stands. Not to mention book four where he would have constantly been seeing Barty Crouch Jr. in Hogwarts, and not just on the one night that 'Moody' took the map from him.

On another note, in the later books, it became something of a habit for one of the Weasley's or perhaps Hagrid to go and retrieve gold from Harry's bank account. However, after hearing how awful Goblins are, they certainly don't mind letting someone who they clearly know ISN'T Harry Potter go into his vault as long as they have his key. I'm surprised there weren't break ins every day.

Or how about when the DA was meeting in book five. In the book it said that Harry told them that there was a room on the... 7th? floor they were going to use, but he never told them how to get into it! Yet, for some amazing reason, they had no issue getting into it.

I could really rant on and on about it ^^; But I'll stop for now. ^^;;;;

So, apart from reading, I haven't been up to much. Still desperately trying to find a job, and failing miserably.  Reading is really my only source of entertainment as I accidentally left my laptop wire up at my friend's at the end of January and don't have it back yet.  I can't use the desk top, because, you guess it, Daniel's destroyed it.   At least, this time, he refrained from taking a hammer to the monitor, for which I am very grateful.

Ah well.

I'm still waiting to hear back about AGT, though they said it could be as late as mid-April before we know if we made it past the first round or not.

Nothing really else to say other than something funny that happened the other day.  Those of you who have me friended on facebook should know that the picture I use there isn't of me, but of Sakamoto Shougo as Ciel Phantomhive from KuroMyu.  WELL.  I have some friends in NC (IRL friends, that is) and one of them messaged me saying that she and her friend (who is also one of my friends, and former roommates) thought I looked really good in my profile pic on facebook.

.... do I seriously look like Shougo?  Not saying I'm not happy if I do ^^;  Mom says I look... kinda... like him?  Meh - it's a nice thought.

life, harry potter, agt
