The Trip - Day 5So, again with the cushy hotel room. I was thinking about turning this into a camping trip by staying at KOA sights, but I'm still somewhat undecided. Tent camping sites cost about $30-40 a pop, and the hotels that I've been staying in have been anywhere from $50-$80, with a couple of exceptions. Am I that much of a cheap bastard

I do hope you know what you're talking about. It's called a riding cap or a driving cap, it's leather, I've had it for years and you've seen me wear it dozens of times.

This is probably the exact one I own, but I can't be sure.

We've got a Krystals down by the mall around here. They're like the originator of the White Castle mini-burger.

I'd originally heard that White Castle was the start of the slider. According to Wikipedia, it looks like White Castle got started in its current incarnation in 1921, and the success was so phenomenal that it inspired other chains to imitate the concept. It lists Krystal as one such place, saying it was started in 36. It also says that it had a burger eating contest, won by (wow, hard to guess) that Kobyashi guy who's famous for being a big eater.

But by all means, let's hit Krystal when I get there. I'm just amped on White Castle because of the docos I saw a long time ago. Harold & Kumar just signed the deal for me is all.

LOL. I never knew all that. Man, is there anything Wiki can't do? =) I always assumed since all the ones I ever see are itty-bitty mom and pops that krystals started it. huh.
