I hope he knows how much he was loved. ♥ Mom and I were talking about the things he'd gone through and she agreed that he had suffered too much at the hands of people who took advantage of him. He needs his rest now, though it's hard to say goodbye.

Exactly. Celebrities sacrifice so very much for us, and yet, it's not until they're gone that we realize how poorly we've repaid them. He not only needs it, it's the very least that he deserves. ♥

True. The public tends to forget that beneath the superstar status, they're people too. You have to be made of stronger stuff too, to be able to endure so much public scrutiny, yet they will sometimes break down because things will eventually become too much. Michael is in a much better place and I'm sure that from there, he'll be able to see who among us really DID love him. ♥

Thanks. It was very hard for me to write in between the tears, but I'm glad I got it pieced together. ^^ It's probably the least I can do for him. I feel like a big part of my childhood is gone with him but I feel even more sorry for the kids he left behind. It was a shock to hear his daughter speak at his service yesterday but it brought to light the fact that while he was the greatest entertainer that ever lived, he was also a man who loved his kids.
