EMISSIONS TESTING MAY DIE A SLOW AND UNLOVED DEATH.

Fucking EPA bullshit.  Everyone I know has had to shell out at least 200 bucks this year to get their car to pass emissions, or has had to get rid of their car and buy a new one.  How is this good for the environment?  All it does is make certain smokers have to smoke more cigarettes because ( Read more... )

Pro-Tip: There is a hose in your engine (Engine dependent, but almost all have it) that basically cuts all the emissions from going to your exhaust and lets them come through the hood itself. If you simply pull that off and push it behind something, they never see it and your car passes emissions.

I've done this twice. @.@;;;;

Thanks for the advice... though I wish that would've worked with some of their cars... Depends on the supervisor at the emissions station, too. Some of them will look specifically for that trick, among others, like drilling valves into your manifolds, headers, hoses, etc., so I've stopped trying little tricks and told most people I know to stop, as well. They can get you in some seriously big trouble. Tampering can land you 2G's in fines, so I've decided that maybe just making the cars work is worth the time, in most cases ( ... )
