Title:  Do You Remember the Time...

Rating:  G

Spoilers:  Ever heard of Blaine or a certain canary?

Warnings:  As before, these are basically my Kurt and Blaine imaginings spilling out onto paper--made with much love, but poor skill.  Please forgive?  (On the upside, I figured out how to use the scanner.)

Summary:  The past lives of Kurt and Blaine, who meet again and again on their journey through time.  (Sort of like an historical costume party with "Klaine", and a few special surprise guests.)

*I've noticed Photobucket seems to make the images slightly bigger and more blurry than intended, if you right click and choose "view image" it's a tiny bit sharper*

Preview:

"Kurtankhamun and Marcus Blainius"
The ancient world is on fire with talk of the young Egyptian ruler and his Roman ally--many suspect they are up to no good...
(I scribbled this one during a lull at work)

Musical suggestion: Remember the Time ~ Michael Jackson (I think the Warblers could do a cool verison of this song)

"First Sight / We Meet Again"

18th Century, a masked ball.  The Earl of Dalton is transfixed by "The Golden Bird" (Master Hummel, a virtuoso opera singer who is visiting from the Austrian court.)

(I imagine Blaine to be in an 18th C. version of his Dalton uniform, a blue jacket with red trim.  Their outfits and poses were inspired by photos of mannequins in a book on historical costumes.)

Musical suggestion: Opus 23 ~ Dustin O'Halloran

"Dangerous Liaisons"

Duchess Fabray and Lord Murphy take special notice of  Kurt and Blaine at the masked ball.  Lord Murphy has great power and influence at court.  Will he sabotage the young lovers for his own amusement, or allow romance to blossom?

(My attempt at Quinn and Ryan Murphy--he's always reminded me a little of John Malcovich, who was in the movie "Dangerous Liaisons".)

Musical suggestion: Opus 17 ~ Dustin O'Halloran

"Rock Me, Pavarotti"

Amadeus-like, Rococo Kurt feeling inspired by his golden-throated companion's singing (and by memories of the Earl of Dalton.)

(Happy Birthday to Mozart today, January 27th!)

Musical suggestions: Rock Me Amadeus ~ Falco  &  Queen of the Night Aria from The Magic Flute ~ Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

"My Dear Mr. Hummel / Blaine's Pocket Watch Locket"

Before there was texting... two gentlemen correspond during the early 1900's.  Blaine tries to figure out just what to write, perhaps something like:
        My Dear Mr. Hummel,
Of course I recall that evening...with greater fondness than you may realize.
I must confess that thoughts of you~ the memory of your voice, your image
carried so close to my heart~ give me courage as I count out the seconds
until the next time we shall meet, hoping that I might be ever, humbly,
                                                                     Your Mr. Anderson

Musical suggestion:   She's Only a Bird in a Guilded Cage ~  Lamb and Von Tilzer

"I Don't Care What They Say About Us Anyway / Sleepwalk Dream"

1950's.  Kurt and Blaine share a special Valentine's Day at Schue's Diner.  Could that be Brittany and Santana holding hands by the jukebox?

(I intended to draw a dramatic Marlon Brando/James Dean type picture, but Blaine flashed a goofy grin at me. Sorry for the weird hands, limbs, eyes, etc.--hope you can still enjoy the sentiment of it. The first part of the title comes from a Weezer song, "Buddy Holly", but I definitely think "Sleepwalk", the haunting guitar melody by Santo & Johnny, should be playing on the jukebox.)

Musical Suggestions: Sleepwalk ~ Santo & Johnny ; Buddy Holly ~ Weezer ; All I Have to Do is Dream ~ the Everly Brothers

"Woo-hoo, but you know I'm yours.
Woo-hoo, and I know you're mine.
Woo-hoo, and that's for all time."

*Thanks for indulging my scribbles and rambles again. : )  Wishing everyone much love and a Happy early Valentine's Day (wake me when it's February!)
