Finn and Kurt are brothers and princes; Finn’s the eldest, so he’s set to inherit the throne. Which is totally fine, because Kurt would rather run away and live with his male lover in the countryside instead.
Then Finn dies suddenly, and now Kurt has to be King--which means he can’t run away with Blaine like he originally planned. He also can’t “marry” Blaine, because back in those days if your brother died, you were expected to marry his widow to keep her in the family, which means he HAS to marry Rachel, who is grieving and wants very little to do with him.
And of course, he still loves Blaine, but he and Blaine really can’t be together anymore, not especially since he’s supposed to be King, and the whole thing is awful and just why did Finn have to die?? ;______;
There is a church near my house that is currently going through some remodeling, and as such they’ve changed their sign. Their new sign says You Matter To God, and You Matter to Us.
My first thought was, “Oh God, Burt Hummel became a Baptist preacher.”
My second thought was, “Holy crap, I’d read the fuck out of that fic.”
