Regionals songs.
So, we all know that the songs for New Directions are original. I was super super pumped to hear them.
Lea/Rachel’s solo: LOVE. First, she sounds amaaazing. Second, IT IS THE MOST PERFECT RACHEL BERRY SONG. Friggin’ perfect. Like, seeing it all put together and up close on screen? I will cry. It is Rachel Berry in a song and I LOVE IT.
New Directions: Um. LOL. It doesn’t SOUND bad. But it’s uber uber cheesy bubblegum pop. Good for a show-choir, I guess. But if anyone at Glee was planning on that song going anywhere? I’m not sure. Hahaha. Though, maybe all put together, it sounds better.
Warblers: The Klaine duet is super sweet. And they sound GREAT together. I could do without the other song.
Aural Intensity: BAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You will do that at your scream. Or at least gasp in horror. That is all I shall say.

Was at the taping. All the cast members came up to talk to the audience and answer questions. Aural Intensity was so good and funny with their Jesus song. New Directions was Rachel all the way. Even the group song had her singing lead although Artie joined in. The audience were given foam Loser fingers to wave. They did throw Slushies but it was filled with confetti. Kathy came with her mom to talk to us. Bill O'Reilley was even there.

Q: How was the dancing in the ND group number (the bubblegum one)? I've read that several SYTYCD alums were in Aural Intensity - did they have amazing choreography?
A: All of the performances were shot from the back (to get choir plus audience) so… I feel like ND phoned it in a little bit. They do rock out, but I’m sure it will be better on screen. Aural Intensity was great. I loved the choreography.

ANYWAY. Here we have sotto_voice asked an extra more info. ;D
I asked the extra on Tumblr if the Klaine duet sounded positive, saying that folks had been worried due to it being a break-uppy song. The response was:
The duet looked sweet to me… if people are guessing something else… I have no idea! Haha.
And to answer the other question in my box. The duet seemed pretty equal to me.
I'm guessing that someone else asked if one of them sang more than the other, or if it seemed like one was more into it than the other? idk, that wasn't a response to my question!

Well they only did it once, but what I can remember is that Chris sings first, at the end, Darren puts Chris in the spotlight and kind of “shows him off” to the crowd, it’s super cute. There is a KLAINE hug at the end of the group number they do.

No, they were pretty much on target. No messups that I saw. I mean, of course Cory messed up the dance moves a couple times, but I mean, that’s expected. Hahaha
Although, when they were filming Candles, when the camera was filming Chris and Darren was behind it he would be dancing and messing around until the camera came back to him. It was hilarious.
And another one:
Candles strikes me as a relatively sad song... do they perform it as a sad/break up song?
Well they only performed the back of them so they weren’t showing too much expressions. But at the end they seemed very happy and accomplished. I think it’s just a song they sang, I don’t think it has anything to do with KLAINE.

They do circle around each other a lot. When they filmed it they didn’t have the Warblers on stage with them. Idk if they’re gonna be on stage for the performance, but if they are that is going to play a part in the choreo.
Kurt’s dance moved from Tuesday’s episode make a comeback in Raise Your Glass though.

You’re welcome! :) Um, we were given instructions during all of the performances. during the Klaine duet the crowd had candles and during the performance we pulled them out and started swaying along with the music.

There isn’t any walking down the aisles that I know of. During the entire Candles performance they dance around and walk around each other. Like most performances they cut down the song a little bit for the show. I don’t really know the song by Hey Monday so I wouldn’t be able to tell you if they did do the whole thing or not.

Darren was wearing Yellow sunglasses instead of pink. Um, he got on the drumset and started playing around on it a little bit. He was dancing around between takes.
