Don't apologize. I'm picky with HTML. It's my problem, not yours ;D. It's easier to read this way also. I hope someone can help you with your layout. I make layouts, but I can't do what you want o_o;.
something like anyone of those would be great... I especailly like #1. If you could do something like it with colors and stuff that matches the pic that would be great. I would love it. And anytime you could get around to it would be fine. Beggars can't be choosers after all

The picture you supplied for the header is poor quality though (as you can see), do you have one with better resolution? And yes, I know this isn't exactly what you asked for, but I thought I'd try some different things, you can tell me what you do and don't like, I'm willing to tweak whatever :)
That looks awesome now, I love it could you email me the codes or whatever I need to make it work. Also can I use the version that Ferret found. Last but not least what do you want as payment for all your hard work.
