regarding KBB Archive layout

I've changed the colors of the archive to higher contrast colors - which will hopefully fix any contrast ratio problems and make it easier to read. Also, entries are now available in both light text on dark background and dark text on light background versions (available from the top right navigation menu). I know people have different preferences

yay! this is much nicer. Thanks. I was bummed to have to wait until things were posted on LJ. :)

the only other thing I might suggest, is a navigation tag of sorts if authors provided "chapters" so if you leave off reading halfway through, you can quickly get back to your "bookmark" without having to do a find action. :)
