Is this an acceptable place to ask questions? If not, I'm so sorry!

I've never before participated in a Big Bang, but I love Kurt, and this has me very interested. I tend to write a lot, so I'll probably go over the minimum.

My question is the following: does the story have to be completed prior to posting? I have a few bunnies in mind, but they're rather convoluted, so I want to make sure I can budget time accordingly.

Thank you!

There is no maximum! :D

The rough draft you submit must be over the 15,000 word minimum and the story should be 95% complete.

The final draft must be over 15,000 words and the story absolutely must be 100% complete. This is the final version you submit which will undergo no more editing. This means that you are NOT allowed to end with a cliffhanger or "to be continued". The story must be able to be read as a standalone and remain understandable. However, you are allowed to write sequels to your fic (with no deadlines unless you enter your sequal for Round 2) and post them on your LJ. If you do post a sequel, let me know and I'll link to it from your Round 1 fanfic here.

Thank you for your question - I'll add it to the FAQ! :D

Should we simply watch the community if we're writing, or will there be a need for us to join to make posts, etc.?

For some comms I know it doesn't matter, and for others the mods have a distinct preference. Figured I'd ask. :)

You can just watch the community if you want. :D

I've noticed that, in big bang communities that have the authors post, access to the fic/art will sometimes be lost to friends-locking or deleted journals.

I'll figure out a good posting process and let all participants know well ahead of time what it will be. I'm looking into possible archive options.

Participants will also be allowed to post their big bang entries to their own journals after a set date.

Thanks for the question - I'll definitely add it to the FAQ! :D

I take it your character will be mentally listing the ways in which Kurt Hummel is awesome personified?! ;D

If their relationship with Kurt is the primary focus of the story, yes - you can tell the story from another character's point of view.

Thank you. I'll add this to the FAQ. <3

I was wondering if you can post more than one story. I know that I can complete both in time if I start now but I just wanted to see if multiple entires are allowed.

Sorry for the delayed reply. <3

Multiple entries are only allowed if you are absolutely sure that you can finish both in time and meet all deadlines for each. If you decide to have multiple entries, submit an author sign-up for each one. Also, remember you will have to check in for both stories on the check in dates.

Good luck if you do decide to do this, but don't feel pressured to. It's alright to only sign-up for one, after all. :D

Yes, that's okay. :D You are allowed to change from your initial idea. The first author check-in is when you are committing to your premise because that information will be used for the artist claim posts.

So do you want me to change your pairing to Sam/Kurt? ;D
