Ahhhhh! My poor bb. I always wondered if he was staying by himself, or if anyone was taking care of him. His friends talked a good game of having faith, and wanting to go to the hospital and sing for his dad. But it didn't seem like they were really doing anything for Kurt. Even Mercedes, she invited him to church, had them pray for his dad, sang a song...all nice gestures, but nothing concrete to really help him. Emma and Mr. Schue took him to the hospital, and didn't want to leave him alone, but we have no idea if either of them asked him if he had anyone to stay with. They shouldn't have left a 16 or 17-year old completely alone. We don't even know if Carole invited him to stay with them

Yeah, I've read plenty of stories where Kurt says 'I told myself if dad dies, so do I', but they are all stories after Burt allready woke up. I wanted to write out one where he actually did it. At that point in his life, I believe Kurt would have, too. The bullying was getting worse, and even though the kiss didn't happen, I could easily see Kurt feeling this was the only way out
