Ah, but have you seen the preview to this issue yet? Here's a bit of the conversation they have (warning: don't read if you don't like spoilers!):

Piotr: "These last few weeks have been so amazing. So filled with change. Yet here we are again. Colossus and Kitty Pryde, just like old times, yes?"

Kitty: "Right... just like old times."

Piotr: "Mmm. How is your fish?"

Kitty: "It's very... fresh. Peter... we uh... we really need to talk."

Piotr: "I was hoping you would say that. There is so much I want to say to you. Let me start by asking you the most important question a man can ever ask a woman. Kitty, will you--"

Kitty: "Peter, please... maybe you should let me talk first?"

Needless to say, I think Kiotr is done for awhile. (Now we just have to suffer through Bobitty... *sigh*)

Please please please no more Kiotr, I mean we've been suffering through it since the eighties. Please Marvel let this be the end of it.

It really is time for that relationship to end. It may have worked in the early days of the X-men (for some people, anyway) but Kitty and Piotr just aren't compatible anymore.

Yeah. I think it was alright when all it was was Kitty's teenaged crush but Marvel seems to keep forgetting she's not a teenager anymore.

I don't completely hate Kitty and Peter as a couple inasmuch as they've had some decent romantic moments in the past. But I agree they shouldn't be together in the present. It was sort of interesting back when Kitty was a love-struck teenager, but now it feels like their being together is good for Peter and bad for Kitty. Her interesting-ness enhances his boring character, and his boring-ness limits her interesting character. It's an unfair trade-off. :(

Kitty's outgrown him.

Pretty much. Agreed about Marvel forgetting she's not a teenager anymore, too. Sometimes it seems like she was older twenty years of comics ago... Although for the most part I don't mind her characterization in Wolverine & the X-Men (provided she shuts down these Bobby and Peter situations, of course, lol).

As far as romance is concerned I'm currently happy for Kitty to be single. I still would love for her and Kurt to some day be together but he's dead at the moment and even if he came back in the next issue I would still be more than happy for Kitty to not persue a relationship with him or anyone for a while.
