I remember 2 or 3 summers ago. Me and a good pal had his telescope out by his pool watching a really close encounter with Mars. One thing that I noticed immediately. Mars moved so fast, Once you had the scope trained precisely on it, if you looked away for a nanosecond. Mars had moved too far off the scope for a good viewing.
