Uh, of COURSE you can bitch about the rudeness that is people cancelling on you at the last minute. But as a fellow service worker of almost 20 years, just deal with it. As gracefully and professionally as you can. I don't mean you have to sit there and do nothing. I mean, make sure whatever you say and do is reserved, well-thought, and pleasant sounding. Always defasult to the assumption that there was a miscommunication somehow and that you are sure they wont' leave you in the lurch again. If they do it again after you've said something, then you have just cause to be brusque. But remember, your reputation is on the line. You always have the right and the responsiblilty to preserve it. So don't let yourself get screwed, but don't screw yourself, either
