Out of pure curiosity, will anyone reading this comment and tell me so? It's just I'm thinking of using this old thing to keep everyone updated on my life/writings/position in the middle of the US presidential elections, and it would be rather pointless if no one was reading it...

Oh, and did you get the facebook message about the house? I'm sorry to bug you, but we have to move to a new place, and it's a 4 bedroom house, and there are only three of us. Would you be interested in joining us? It's £285 p/m without bills, but the house is gorgeous, the landlady's really friendly, and I can cover the admin fee/deposit for you until we start next year, if you're interested.

Hello! While I remain a fully fledged Facebook devotee, I do still check Lj now and then - Kate still writes on here quite regularly. Hope all's good with you, woo for year abroad people, though thinking yours is probably a lot more exciting than mine!

I do believe we are! I'm in Goettingen, slap bang in the middle of Germany, just south of Hannover. Just as a point of interest for you, Goettingen Uni has massive exchange links with the Californian unis and there are over 30 Californians out here on their year abroad, many of whom are from UC Berkeley!
