I HAVE A DIAGNOSIS!

I have been FINALLY diagnosed! I've got myalgic encephalomyelitis (or Chronic fatigue syndrome, but the other sounds way cooler). A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders, and now I can explain what I've got (also can stop being called a hypochondriac), and I can begin claiming my disability allowance ( Read more... )

Oh fantastic! Well not fantastic, but like you said, at least you will stop being labeled wrongly, you know what's going on with you, and you can get disability. Will you be getting therapy to help manage it?

I have to have some "intense" physiotherapy (I'm a little worried about the intense part LOL) and have been referred to a mental health clinic, which is apparently standard procedure for long time illness. I doubt I'll go anyway, I'm happy! :D

It's such a relief to find out that what you're going through has a name. I pretty much just found out I may have had Social Anxiety Disorder, so that means I'm not just painfully shy-- in a way, it makes me feel better about it!

I hope everything will get better from now on, for you and your family! <3

Oh Social anxiety is not nice :( I had it for a while in High School. Sorry you have to go through it too <3 But you're right, it is a huge relief to find out that you're not crazy or "making it up" as I've been told a lot.
