Family (Oneshot)

Chinen Yuri was a very happy child, that had a good life, with parents that loved him alot. One day after school, when he was waiting for his parents to pick him up, and strange man came up to his school, was talking to the principal.
"Chinen...I have some bad news for you. Your parents were in a car crash today...and well, they are not longer with us."
Chinen tilted his head in confusion. "Eh?"
The man sighed, bending down towards Chinen. "Your parents died in a car crash today. And, as you have no other family to go to, i'll be taking you to an orphanage. I'm very sorry."
The place the man took him to was scary, it had lots of children running around, screaming, and playing around everywhere. "Chinen-kun, this way." The lady that worked there, took his hand and pulled him along a long hallway, to room 23. "This will be your room now, which you'll be sharing with a boy, who doesn't speak, so don't get upset if he doesn't answer you, ok?" Chinen nodded slowly. They went inside, and he saw the boy sitting on his bed, with a book in his lap. "Morimoto-kun, this is Chinen, who will be rooming with you now. Be nice to him." She told the boy, who was apparently named Morimoto. She took Chinen's stuff, and placed in all in the dresser for him. "Now, if you need anything, just come find me, or anyone else who works here, or you can ask Morimoto-kun, and i'm sure he can help you...he's been here a while, so he knows where things are." She patted Chinen on the head, then left the two.
Chinen stood there awkwardly, looking around, walking closer to Morimoto's bed. "Um...its nice to meet you Morimoto-kun." The boy looked up from his book, then reached over to the table beside his bed, taking a pen and paper, writing something on it, then showed it to Chinen. "Call you by your first name, which is Ryutaro?" Ryutaro then nodded. "Ok, I will! Then...you can call me by my first name to, which is Yuri- Oh...w-well, if you talked..." Yuri looked down, embarrased with himself. He heard the rustle of the paper, and looked up again to see more sentences on the paper.
You are really cute Yuri.
Yuri's face turned bright red, shaking his head quickly. "I'm not!" Ryutaro smiled at him, and Yuri couldn't help but smile back.
Yuri found himself sitting on Ryutaro's bed for the next couple of hours, asking each other questions about themselves. Yuri found out that Ryutaro was actually 2 years younger than him, eventhough he looked the same age as Yuri. He had a younger brother, who died along with his parents in a car crash. "Thats how my parents died to...I really miss them." Yuri chewed on his bottom lip, not wanting to cry in front of Ryutaro, but when he felt the younger boy wrap his arms around Yuri, the tears started flowing down his cheeks.
That night, Yuri was woken up by someone shaking him. "R-Ryutaro?" Ryutaro got his paper, quickly writing, You were crying in your sleep. Yuri reached up to his cheeks, which were indeed wet from tears. "I'm sorry I woke you up...I was having a nightmare." Ryutaro stood there, staring at Yuri. He then pointed to himself, then to the bed. "You want to share the bed?" Ryutaro nodded. "Um...ok Ryutaro." Yuri moved over, letting the younger slip into his bed under the covers. He opened his arms, letting Yuri lay beside him. "Thanks Ryutaro." Yuri snuggled close, feeling safe in the youngers arms.
The two quickly became close, always together, if you saw one of the, the other wasn't far behind. It was a rare time that they weren't together, with Ryutaro sitting outside reading, when an older boy came up to him. He was teasing Ryutaro, about him not speaking, and took his book from him. "Hey! What are you doing to my Ryu-chan!?!" Yuri came running towards them.
"Move out of the way, shortie." The boy pushed Yuri down to the ground. Yuri quickly stood back up, and kicked the boy right between the legs, making him fall to the ground.
Yuri was now sitting on his bed, pouting as he got in trouble for kicking the boy. The boy also got into trouble, and Yuri got to protect Ryutaro, so he was happy. Are you ok? A familar paper was pushed in front of his face, and he smiled. "I'm fine Ryu-chan! Are you ok?" Ryutaro nodded, and smiled at Yuri. "Good, i'll always protect my Ryu-chan."
It was a few months after Yuri had arrived at the orphanage, when he got called inside from playing with Ryutaro outside. He found his bags that were brought with him, and they were packed with his stuff. "Yuri, good news for you, you've been adopted by them." Yuri looked to his side, seeing two tall guys smiling at him.
"Hello Yuri." The one with brown, curly hair bent down, smiling at him. "I'm Yaotome Hikaru, and this is Yaotome Kota." Yuri had recgonized the two, as they had been there a few times, but he never thought they'd adopt him. He was happy though, so he hugged Hikaru.
"Thank you!" Yuri's smile grew bigger, as Hikaru picked him up, and Kota took his bags, with them walking towards the door. They stepped out of the building, the door about to shut, when Yuri looked back hearing his name being yelled.
"YURI!" Yuri's eyes widened. It was Ryutaro who yelled his name. The door shut, but he could hear Ryutaro still yelling his name, over and over, screaming for him.
He was placed in the car. "You ready to go home Yuri?"
"But...what about Ryu-chan?"
"Ryu-chan?"
"My friend...I can't leave him."
Hikaru sighed, brushing some hair from Yuri's face. "I'm sorry Yuri, but we can't adopt him...they won't allow us to adopt more than 1 child." Hikaru stood up, shutting the car door. Yuri kept silent, not knowing if he should be happy to get a home, or mad that he was leaving his friend.
The house that they pulled into was big, and the room they gave him was big, but it seemed emtpy to him without Ryutaro. The bed he had was the most comfy bed he had ever laid in, but he found himself woke up from crying in his sleep again. "Are you ok Yuri?" It was Kota who had woke him up, and was now brushing the hair from his face, wiping the tears away.
"I was having a nightmare..."
"Would you like me to stay with you tonight?" Yuri shook his head, all he wanted was Ryutaro. "Alright, well me and Hikaru are just a few doors down if you want either of us...don't be scared to ask, ok?" Yuri nodded. Kota leaned down, kissing Yuri's forehead. "Good night Yuri."
Weeks went by, Yuri got used to living with his new parents, and he really loved them. They took care of him, just as well as his parents before did. They really loved him, and they made him happy, but he could still feel a hole in his heart where Ryutaro was.
Yuri was walking home, with his hand in Hikaru's, after school. "Yuri~ Me and Kota have a surprise for you at home."
"Eh? What is it?" Yuri jumped around, excited, making Hikaru laugh at him.
"You'll just have to wait and see~"
"Lets go faster then!" Yuri giggled, and started running home with Hikaru following behind him. Yuri quickly ran to his house, and opened the door. "Kota-mama! Where is my surpris-RYUTARO!" Yuri screamed the boys name, as he saw him standing in the kitchen with Kota. He dropped everything he was holding, running towards Ryutaro, hugging him as tight as he could. "Ryu-chan!" Tears started flowing down Yuri's cheeks.
Ryutaro giggled, wrapping his arms around Yuri. "Yuri!"
"You said my name Ryu-chan!" Yuri leaned back to see the youngers face, but never unwrapped his arms.
"Seems like that is all he will say right now." Yuri looked up at Kota.
"But...I thought they wouldn't let you adopt him?"
"They called us today, and it seems like Ryutaro stopped eating, or playing, and the only thing he would do when they tried to get him to do things, is say your name...so they thought it'd be better if he was with you."
Yuri smiled the biggest smile, seeing the younger blushing. "Ryu-chan is so cute~!"
"I'm not." It was a quiet mumble, but Yuri heard it, making him smile even more.
"Come on Ryu-chan!" He took the youngers hand, pulling him up the stairs to his room, which he was now making it their room.
That night, Yuri snuggled close to Ryutaro, in his bed. He wrapped his arms tightly around Ryutaro. "I missed you Ryu-chan." Ryutaro nodded, which Yuri knew was his way of saying that he missed him to.
Yuri sighed, letting sleep take over him. His eyes were closed, about to go into dreamland, when he heard a mumble. "I love Yuri."
Yuri's eyes fluttered open, and saw a blushing Ryutaro. "I love Ryu-chan to." He placed a kiss on the youngers cheek, then closed his eyes again, letting himself fall asleep, knowing there would be no more nightmares for him at night, now that he had Ryutaro beside him again. Knowing now, that he new family was complete.
