Ryosuke was right, we did stay friends. Really not much changed between us at all, except that when we went out, he tried to set me up with random guys. I kept telling him to stop, I wasn't interested in hooking up with random guys that I didn't know, but he still continued.
I sighed as I watched another guy coming towards me, trying to not look at him, hoping he would get the hint, but of course he didn't. "Hey there. Mind if I buy you a drink?"
"No, I don't need one, thank you though."
"Oh come on, one drink won't hurt you know."
He tried to bring his hand towards my face, but I quickly brushed it off. "I said no, please leave me alone."
He sighed, mumbling something about Ryosuke was wrong about me, and left. I got up, quickly finding Ryosuke, to tell him that I was leaving because I was tired of him sending guys my way. "Wait! Yuri, I have someone coming...I really want you to meet him!" He grasped my wrist tightly. "I promise, it's not just some random person this time, I know him. He's my cousin. Oh, there he is!"
I looked in the direction that he was looking, and found another boy just a tiny bit taller than Ryosuke, who had kinda chubby cheeks, and a amazing smile. He was actually really cute. Should be though, being family of Ryosuke. He quickly made his way over to us. "Ryo! Finally I found you!"
"Dai-chan! It's because you are so short!"
The boy puffed up his cheeks, hitting Ryosuke's arm. "You are shorter than me!"
I couldn't help but laugh at them, which caught Ryosuke's attention to me again. "Ah, Dai-chan! This is the guy I wanted you to meet, Chinen Yuri! Yuri, this is Arioka Daiki."
"Ah, he is really cute! It's really nice to meet you Chinen-kun." He smiled, and I hated to admit it, but I felt my heart flutter a bit.
"It's nice to meet you to Arioka-kun."
"Well, I'm going back to dancing now. Take care of Yuri for me Dai-chan!" And with that, Ryosuke was gone, in the crowd again. My eyes followed him until I couldn't see him anymore, and I realized that Arioka was calling my name.
"Y-yes? Sorry..."
"Don't be sorry, you did nothing wrong. Want to get a drink?"
"Um...sure. Thanks."
We got our drinks, and found a table in the back, where is was a little bit more quiet. "So, has Ryo been bothering you a lot since you came out to him?" I was surprised that he asked that question, which I think he knew. "I know, that when I came out to him, he kept sending guys my way...so I figured he was doing the same to you."
"Ah, yeah he is. Every time we go out now, that's all he does."
"You...are in love with him though, right?"
I'm sure my eyes got as wide as they possibly could go. How did someone that I have known for about 5 minutes, know about my love for Ryosuke?!? "Eh...I'm n-not...I..."
"Don't worry, I won't tell him. Promise."
"How...how did you know though?"
"I could tell...just by the way you looked at him just now...It's the same way I look at Yuya."
"Yuya?"
"The guy I am in love with...the straight guy, that I am in love with...that doesn't know...and that no one knows I am in love with, well, except you now..."
Oh. Arioka could tell because he is in the same situation that I am... "So why are you here? With me?"
"Ryosuke said you were cute, and that maybe I would like you, so I thought I would come see you. He wasn't lying though, you are very cute. Just...no one is ever going to get me to love them more than I do Yuya."
I nodded, completely understanding what he was saying. I also felt like no one could ever replace my feelings for Ryosuke. "I understand. I know exactly how you feel. I hope we can be friends though Arioka-kun. It's...nice to have someone to talk about this stuff to."
Arioka smiled, and nodded. "Of course! I would love to be friends with you. You have to stop calling me Arioka-kun though, please call me Dai-chan."
I smiled back, a real smile that I haven't had in a while..."Thank you Dai-chan! You can call me Chii, or Yuri..." The conversation went on, and on, until we realized it was hours later, in the middle of the night. We traded numbers, deciding we were definitely going to see each other again, as friends. I had a feeling Daiki was going to be a good friend for me. I was happy having someone that I could talk to about my feelings for Ryosuke, so I know he had to feel the same, getting to talk to someone about this Yuya person he was in love with. I saw him leaving with a girl earlier, and it really broke me down more than usual. I was used to it by now, but I think having my feelings in the open, and talking about it, made it harder for me.
