To be fair, those of us who could not care less about football or the Ravens have had it up to here with people who can only talk about that and ask why we aren't wearing purple. You were probably the 30th person that day to ask about the "big" game.

I understand.. but it was the way he answered the question in the manner he did. I did not wear purple in my office. I did my best not to be a rabid fan I trend to be mellow about such things. Now when STAR TREK: Into Darkness.. gets released look out I will be all sorts of fan rabid

True true. I'm probably giving him too much of the benefit of the doubt because it has, in the past, been an easy way to shut down the inevitable "What? But, why? How could you not care about the Ravennnnnnnns." (I just turn around and walk away at that point.)

However, I know lots of straight guys who have 0% interest in football or sports in general and the same number of gay guys that do. Stereotypes reversed!

Here Here! I've seen way too many young gays, back when I was younger as well at least, think that to be gay means being flaming. They didn't understand how I could be gay and not flaming, clubbing, and slutty too, and couldn't relate to me because I wasn't those things yet still said "I'm gay". *rolls eyes*

We as a society and human race do this way too often with almost everything. Jewish, Arabic, Gay, Straight, Chinese, whatever. Some stereotypes have a lot of truth to them, but then we start snap judging and assuming everyone is like that.
