Torchwood; HP; a Pinto Ficlet
How awesome was last night’s Torchwood? I have only a couple of brief thoughts. I love this new awesome Gwen, so much, and I love that Rhys is along for the ride and being brilliant. I love Gwen being super kick ass, and trying to solve stuff, and Ianto’s single bloody mindedness, it is like he is on automode: Rescue Jack and the way he did made me squee sfm, talk about perfect timing. And I love Jack and how he walked nude to the car holding the coat over his shoulder and Gwen all trying to not look, hahaha, I love this new, sexual tension free dynamic between them. OH GOD THEY BETTER NOT DIE.
Apparently the Harry Potter Premiere was yesterday, and I didn’t even know, oh how times have changed, I am so looking forward to the movie, am sadly going to Germany on the 14th, the day before it comes out, so unfair. Have been looking at pictures from the premiere, despite the rain they were all looking good, I adore Emma Watson’s dress (I like her, saw her on Jonathan Ross and she was pretty good!) and apparently Bonnie Wright has really grown up, and looking hot, (she IS 18, so I am only slightly ashamed to say this) Oh and pictures from the premiere with hilarious captions (link courtesy of jacinthsong )
So I am meeting my supervisor tomorrow to discuss my dissertation plans and I have basically nothing to show for myself, which is really very bad, but on the bright side, I have been distracting myself with writing fic. I have nearly finished one, but I am kind of stuck with it, as am not sure how to finish it and ended up rewriting the whole premise and so to distract myself from that I wanted to figure out how I see Chris as a character. Because even though it’s RPS, all of us have certain ideas about Chris and Zach and who they are and so this was born.

Chris is a very tactile person, he learns with his fingers, he picks things up without noticing, he runs his hands along surfaces until he understands them (Zach is complicated, and so Chris never stops touching him, he still learns a new thing every time)
2.
Chris has a bad habit of speaking before he thinks it through, this has resulted in a few disastrous interviews, and one time he nearly got his ass kicked. (but he doesn’t really mind, because it never fails to make Zach laugh.)
3.
Chris was a geek all the way through high school and when he grew into his looks and girls (and guys) started noticing him it took him a while to realise why and he still hates photo shoots and doesn’t understand the fixation with his appearance (yet, he never fails to blush when Zach mouths beautiful onto his heated flesh)
4.
Chris has an unhealthy addiction to coffee, he tried to drink tea during his bohemian starving artist days, but he hated the stuff; that was his first big clue that the starving artist thing wouldn’t work out. (When on their first day on set Zach brings him coffee, Chris tells him he loves him, by the 23rd day, he really means it)
5.
The theatre is Chris’s first love, there is nothing quite like the high brought by the immediacy of the audience, but he is self aware enough to admit that he has grown fond of the perks of a film career, and he is not one to bemoan the burdens of fame. (or at least not in public, because sometimes he really just wants to take his boyfriend out for burgers and kiss him while waiting for the french fries.)

Chris loves to sit down with a good book and in college had no problem writing long analytical papers, but he takes care to hide his intellect due to a mixture of self-preservation and thoughtless advice from his agent (Until he meets Zach and learns that the way to his heart is paved with five syllable words.)

Chris tends to get attached to clothes and wear them to death, he survived college with a pair of jeans and about three shirts and his only requirement for shoes is comfort; though he starts picking especially awful footwear just to fuck with the paparazzi (the first time he stole one of Zach’s shirts it was an accident, the second time was a joke, and now he is no longer sure who owns what.)

Chris gets acting crushes like nobody’s business. He really is a method actor, and the blur between fiction and reality sometimes confuses his dick, but he has a rule (necessitated by Lindsey Lohan’s advances) to not get involved with co-stars, because he knows that to crap where he eats is always a bad idea (Zach makes him break that rule a little before his Trek audition, but seeing as they are not yet co-stars, it totally doesn’t count.)

Chris has a propensity for late night phone calls, sometimes they are a result of too much alcohol, but often he just gets an idea he needs to share or just wants to talk to somebody about nothing in particular (His sister is Zach’s biggest fan, ever since he took her role of primary receiver of Chris’s three-am thoughts.)
