It is snowing again. It better not be frozen over tomorrow.

-Aww, we have a new wintery LJ header, I like it!

-Just booked my flight to New York, it arrives at 1:15 on the 31st, which gives me plenty of time before midnight, so fingers crossed for no airport closing snow storms. That would suck. Are there still tickets for Angels in America? Probably not, but I have hopes.  Coming back on the 10th, which ( Read more... )

Awww, I miss you in NYC by one week! So far JFK hasn't closed, though we're a bit on tenterhooks up here. :) Tickets for AIA sold out back in September, alas...

Awww, that's a shame! I was going to send you message to ask when you are going back. Oh dear, surely they are better than us at dealing with snow? I thought so, but it seemed so crazy, I sort of assumed they would release some tickets later on as well. :(

Oh, yes, much better! We have snow right now, but not the scary three feet of snow, so. Definitely fingers crossed. Though it is SERIOUSLY COLD here at the moment! I recommend woollies. :)

(The funny thing is, those are the later release tickets! The one I had was from the July batch - four of us hit the website for three hours straight till one got the tickets - and then the September ones sold out too. I think part of it was ZQ, part of it was Angels In America, and part of it was the tickets were only $20! It was kind of amazing.)

Haha, it's seriously cold here right now as well, though I suppose there isn't the infamous NYC wind. I am going to prepare for sure. Will hopefully get all the warmth I need in Spain, so that I can handle the cold.

Apparently there is a waiting list every day, so I am going to try that, because it is the one thing I really really want to do.

There neeeeds to be more Kurt/Rachel friendship stuff on the show.

And I'm not just saying that as a person who has 5300 words of friendship fic for them in an open doc on her computer right now.

I couldn't agree more!

Oh that is fantastic, I hope I get to read it soon. Sometimes friendship fics is all I want from this fandom.

Waitlist for AiA! I had no problem getting in the times I went. I went 3 hours early and was the second/third person in line and got seats both times. On Thursday evening there were 14 people in line and I don't know if everyone got in, but a lot of people did. On Sunday afternoon, I actually only had to wait an hour, after that someone came out and said there were tickets available, so I was able to buy one and then go somewhere warm to hang out. But yeah, I think if you're at least the 5th person in line, you're pretty much guaranteed to get in because even if there aren't actual seats available, they seat people on the steps. And even if you can't wait that long, if you can go by an hour early, I still think it's worth a shot. :D

OMG! You are my favourite person, this is the best news I've heard, I will definitely do this. How does it work? Do I just turn up at the theatre?? :DDDDDDD

Yeah, just show up at the theatre - there is a sign on one of the doors that says 'waitlist line starts here' and you just stand/sit there. I would dress really warmly and get a coffee or something before you go to stay as warm as possible - even if it's not all that cold during the day, it becomes absolutely miserable once the sun goes down if you're waiting for an evening show. An hour before showtime, someone will come out and give you a slip of paper to fill out with your name etc. and then collect them. After that you can go get warm and then come back a half hour before the show starts, when they'll start calling out names. This can take awhile depending if they have seats or not, and I think they seat people on the stairs right before the show begins ( ... )

Okay, this is all so incredibly helpful, thank you! I looked it up and apparently the $20 tickets are only till the 19th, so in January it will be $80, but hopefully not for those tickets as well. Either way, I will go fully prepared. :D

It makes me think I probably should have invested in a permanent account, oh well. I will be sure to renew as soon as I figure out what's the deal with my credit card.

Thanks! I am flying back from Spain on the 30th and flying out on the 31st, which means plenty of things can go wrong, but I am feeling optimistic.

I thought it was the last episode of Misfits. When I saw the preview for the Christmas special, I was so excited!

"I call it lactokinesis."
"That has got to be the shittiest power ever."
Oh, Misfits, never change! XDDD

Haha, I think that was milk boy's breaking point, which means the whole thing was totally Nathan's fault. I am so glad for the Christmas special, because all the wonderful developments in this ep were erased, which leaves so much up in the year. I don't think I understand Nathan's power now though, so he wasn't dead, but he was brain dead? Surely if someone finished him off he'd come back healthy.

That makes sense. In the rush, they probably didn't think of finishing him off.

I guess, but I'm still not sure how it all works, because he can clearly get ill, which isn't normally the case with immortal people.
