Dinosaurs are back!
Expect to see a lot more of these guys.
Know what, lots of pictures coming so here's a cut so I don't overwhelm your flists.
Last time you saw these guys, it was June. The first pair of dinosaurs were finished
and the next one was on his way
Then I had to put these aside for a while so I could finish Mal and Katy's wedding sampler in time for, well, Mal and Katy's wedding. Did it!
I decided to back this in a dinosaur print fabric, which will be sewed on. That way if anything gets spilled on it or whatever it can be washed easily. I was going to back it with self-adhesive felt initially, but the adhesive wouldn't survive washing so that wasn't as practical as I had hoped. This is the fabric I found (which is less orange than it looks - the flash on my camera got enthusiastic)
There was one week's progress which I either didn't post on here or didn't tag properly, so this is about two weeks' effort on from the last picture. Dino has eyes!
I'm probably going to spell something out at the top of the chart when it's finished to make it a big more personal - I was thinking "Sam's height chart", or maybe "watch me grow!" If I don't put his name on it then if Andy and Giza have other children there is the possibility it could be passed on to the next child. "Watch me grow" could look really cute in a childish type alphabet (I have a file full of alphabet charts, I'll be able to find something) and makes it a bit more personal.
