I'm stitching an afghan. I don't mean a person from Afghanistan.

First thing, for those non-stitchy readers, an afghan is like a blanket, or a bedspread. The one I'm stitching on at the moment is really lovely thick almost woolen fabric. It's divided in to several squares (in this case 20), each of which can be stitched or left blank to create a pattern if desired. The squares are separated by the same fabric ( Read more... )

Ive been reading your posts over at cross_stitch and I really liked the work you've been doing so I should add you as a friend, I hope you will welcome more ljfriends

I post quite regularly now with progress of my own stitching.

btw I think that the Christmas elephant is adorable.

Thank you :) and welcome to my journal ;) There are a couple of other animals in the same Christmas series which will end up on this, a cat, a hedgehog and a bunny, I think they're so much fun. I have completed another square since I updated pictures on here but I'm going to wait until I've done the next one to post another picture I think :)
