...it's been how long since I updated...?

OK, quick update on my life for the last few...weeks...

I rejoined karate. I made two classes. I'm hoping to go again next week. I'm considerably less fit than I was before, which has been made inescapably clear to me by these two classes.

I got the cold from hell. I blame a combination of Gray and Pippa. I missed three days from work and two karate classes, the second partly because I was tired from contining recovery and also because my asthma is getting worse.

I have asthma. Not a lot of people know this. My doctor claims he can't hear any wheezing in my lungs but I can hear it, my colleagues can hear it, and he kept me waiting for 10 minutes for no good reason (I was his first appointment of the day, he didn't have another patient in first or anything borderline reasonable like that) so I'm disinclined to agree with him. He gave me an inhaler anyway.

I've been stitching a lot. The triceratops is done, the diplodocus is started, a couple of Christmas presents have been completed, and a dalek is currently on its way to Australia.

I sent Christmas presents to Andy and Giza and Sam. It was expensive, but they should move quickly.

It's been snowing a lot. It's made for interesting driving and walking and things like that. I've managed not to fall on my ass yet. Gray's sister's partner is stranded at the in-laws' house. I am amused by this.

I pissed off Sooty so much that he tried to bite my hand off. I wasn't trying to piss him off. It was funny.

Gray tried to plug a memory stick into my cleavage. I am not a USB port.

I've done a lot of (possibly all...possibly not...) Christmas shopping, and am making a Christmas dinner on Saturday. The day after tomorrow. The dinner is planned, with the usual military campaign-esque precision. Everything has been delivered in terms of food, thanks to Tesco online ordering, which is made of win and awesome. Preparation of food will commence tomorrow evening (hopefully along side the careful application of Christmas decorations to the lounge and kitchen) and will continue on Saturday. Dinner will be served up at 1 o'clock on Saturday. Dinner will be an alcohol-free zone, on account of the two pregnant women, the man allergic to alcohol, the man who is driving, the man who doesn't usually drink with meals, and the general outnumbered nature of the remainder of the guests. Seriously, four of the seven people there can't drink, and one of the remaining three would just find it unusual and weird.

Our dining table is designed to seat 6. It's going to seat 7. A certain degree of friendliness will be required.

We'll be driving down to Dartford on Christmas day, driving over to Tunbridge Wells on Boxing day, then driving back to Dartford and back home, also on Boxing day. Gray will be back at work on the 27th. I will be back at work on the 29th. I have the first week of January booked as annual leave to make up for the total lack of annual leave at Christmas (I'd only use it to travel anyway, this way I get to use it to relax). I'm going to make us a totally awesome dinner on Christmas eve. I have no idea what it's going to consist of, but it's going to be totally awesome.

Other things have happened. I've just forgotten what they were.
