LEGO Avengers: Disassemble! kalya_2nd April 25 2012, 19:58:56 UTC

I thought it was just called "The Avengers"! I did, seeing what you'd written, look it up and find out that in fact it is called "Avengers Assemble" in some countries - but it will always be The Avengers to me :)

More to say, and I shall do so soon xXx

Here it's being called Avengers Assemble. Certainly we've been referring to it as The Avengers, but I do like to get things right ;)

Hmm it doesn't sound like your options are great! It sucks that the hall isn't really suitable; do they not have those interlocking mats you can get? Those are great to train on! I wouldn't mind getting a few myself for doing the kinect at home!

Hehe have an awesome time tonight! :D

No mats - and nowhere at the community centre to store them. If there were, I'm sure the council would want to charge us for the privilege of using them. If the club bought some, there would still be the issue of storing them, and getting them to and from the dojo safely. Not to mention that you'd have to get mats which we could move on easily, in bare feet, without either slipping and sliding around or getting rug burn. Sensei has said he's got a couple of options in mind for somewhere new though :)

Do you know what I mean by the interlocking mats? kalya_2nd April 26 2012, 18:58:20 UTC
They lock together into a single unbroken surface; and they are eminently suitable for bare feet because they are used for material arts! (I have seen them in a karate dojo and in the room where the unarmed fighting training happened at fight camp) xXx

Like these http://www.cannonsuk.com/index.php?act=viewCat&catId=84 ?

Still have the issue of who owns them, where are they stored, how and by whom are they transported (if needed) and how much would the council charge us to use them. Of course this is all moot now that sensei Gary in his awesomeness has got us a new dojo location - natural light, airy, bigger, better :) how awesome does this sound.

OOH and it's bring a friend month again, wanna come along?
