Chest protector arrived today. Suprisingly light-weight, very sturdy, and I'm not even sure I'd feel it if I got punched wearing it. Which may not really be a good thing, as it's not preparing me for real-world scenarios, but really...I'm in karate for the karate and the sparring, not for real-life fighting ( Read more... ) -

Green belt achieved! And the thing is, I can do better at karate than I did at grading, which I find frustrating. Ah well. When cash starts flowing a bit more easily (this month is very tight for various reasons) I intend to start training twice a week again - or maybe even three times ( Read more... ) -

Sometimes I just feel like I'm cracking up
It's been weeks and I hardly feel like I've stopped moving, because if I stop then I'll have to really think about what I did. I don't think my action was wrong, but I hate to hurt people and I hate that I made him cry and I hate being alone because I get so damn lonely. The litany against fear
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will allow it to pass over me and through me, and when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. When the fear is gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
