Just wanted to say a little something today about the second anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. To all my Anne Rice friends and beyond; wish there was a way to make a bigger mark in the restoration and of course, I'm glad that our favorites habitats survived for me to go visit someday.

Well, I'm about ready to fall asleep, so time for a walk! Last two nights I've been up late and in the AM, up early, so I'm beat. I lost 3.5 pounds this week, but then they had to buy a new scale!!! So I'm thinking it just weighs a little lighter. Hopefully, it will hold up for consistency sake. I've been upping my nightly walks to the point that I hurt every day, and my chiropractor says that's a good sign. Of what???? He says my body is adjusting to it's new size...etc ( Read more... )

We finished the first round of the diet club today, and I came in third! I lost 18.2 pounds and wish I had measured inches, but the clothes are falling off! Well, at least my monetary reward will pay for me to rejoin. I hope this keeps going, and I didn't expect to be this highly motivated without Richard Simmons. I lost another 1.6 pounds!!! And that came even with eating out, but then I'm very careful. It is hotter than hell now and tomorrow should reach 100 degrees F! So, I'll probably sweat it off!
