Perhaps I'm just weird? :)

I'm not much of a doer myself, I'm about as lazy and apathetic as people can be, but when there's something I do want to do I accept what it takes to do it, and get it done.

im the same, i go out of my way to help someone, if they dont thank me, i resent the time and effort ive just wasted, even just a smile and a "thanks alot" is enough

people nowadays are ungrateful cunts

aye, it doesnt cost anything, even IF im having the worst day ever i still make sure to say "thank you" if someone has helped me with something unless im in a superrush to something important and EVEN THEN i would try to get an acknowledgement communicated to them somehow

Me: "ONLY KIDDING! CONTINUE TO EAT A TWIX FOR LUNCH, DON'T LIFT WEIGHTS AND SPEND 30 SECONDS A DAY THINKING ABOUT BEING 'SWOLE'. I GUARANTEE THAT WITHIN TWO DAYS YOU'LL BE LAT-FLARING THE PANTIES OFF EVERY GIRL THAT GETS WITHIN 500 MILES OF YOUR MIND BLOWING PHYSIQUE!"

I have nothing to add other than this made me laugh out loud at my desk.

It is just common courtesy. I do try and do the polite thing like hold doors open, let the odd car out, things like that. I do find the majority of people say thank you. But there is always one arse!
