Obi needed to shed a few pounds again, so we switched him to a different diet consisting of dried biscuits which can optionally have hot water added to them to make a Weetabix-like paste. He's shedding weight really well, but he's a lot thirstier due to the dried food. Although it's not such a bad thing since it does mean he's taking on more water ( Read more... )

Nice chart and a great laugh but at the risk of sounding horribly "cesar milan" i'll just suggest something.

Ever thought of crate training? Though in fact Obi's far too old for that and believe it or not has the ability to hold his pee all night at his age. If you just shift his eating/drinking hours you can enjoy an uninterrupted night of sleep. Then you can avoid the crate entirely.

Should i make a chart for that?

Crate training is totally unnecessary for him. He's just adjusting to a new routine and we've not consistently applied any structure to it. It was more of a joke about what he sometimes does.

We cured it by taking him for a walk late at night, taking his water up about an hour before bed and by making sure he's been in the garden right before bed even if he doesn't think he wants to :)
