not hard to get through, i just found it a little boring at times. still worth the read, of course
the life of pi is utterly fantastic. i loved it.
recommendations, hmmm? i may have mentioned these before, but here goes: -time traveller's wife, by audrey niffenberger -history of love, by nicole krauss -the man who was thursday, by g.k. chesterton -the little prince, by antoine de saint-exupery (it's actually a kids book, but it's amazing) -love in the time of cholera, by gabriel garcia marquez (or anything he's written, really) -the kite runner, by khaled hosseini
the first two are kinda sappy, but really really well-written sappy, so i love them :)
Actually, I think I'm going to be insulted.dhc_bandApril 7 2007, 18:12:29 UTC
How come you never mention how much fun you have with me? =( Seriously, I guess I'm just not any fun at all. You mention everythinggg else BUT me. My evolution.
Did you ever think of making the jump from watching House to investing in real estate? I hear it's quite a progression, and a bit more profitable. Though with the market the way it is these days, who knows what kind of patient would want to deal with such inHOSPITAbLe Housing.
I can't remember the last time I read for leisure. Oh, wait a minute, I think I may have picked up a certain book a few days ago!
I'll take everything becomes apparent as some obscure reference to The Illusionist, which I have not seen.
I wanna read Gulliver's Travels, too! I did this huge analysis on Swift last month which got me into it. A Midsummer Night's Dream- I liked Romeo and Juliet- I hated [It's just cheesy!] Siddhartha- One of those really life-changing books. =]
Awesomeness! We should both read it at the same time during the summer and hold intelligent discussions throughout, lolz.
Well of course Romeo and Juliet is cheesy (I saw the movie, old version) but there is that once in a while where I'm in the mood for cheese, yunno?
Everyone raves about Siddhartha, and my brother had to read it for school this year and he liked it (he hates books) and since I have your recommendation I will probably try to read it first before all else!
But didn't you have some weird situation with it and school? Or was that Hamlet...? =P Also Neeraj and I need you to donate a photo of yourself for the scrapbook :)

Shakespeare is ♥, I only really started appreciating Shakespeare this year because I finally have a teacher who teaches it right!
I'm also adding The Life of Pi and The Jungle by Upton Sinclair to the list, do you know anything about those?
Also, fabulous cousin, since I know you're the book guru, do you have any book recommendations? =D

Ha ha very funny, one day you'll appreciate House. You're so picky with movies and television!
Yeah? You picked it up? Just wait, you'll put it down in two days and then pick it up again 5 months later.
No, everything becomes apparent is some obscure reference to YOU.
