It's late and I really shouldn't be up, but I've been creating and I wanted to share. In brief, I've been having trouble getting my head into the game in RPLand, so I've been crafting with the lovely
starxd_sparrow and Larry Luv (sort of) to help stem some of the creative build-up before I boil over.
So, here goes:
Simpson's inspired curtains (WIP.)
starxd_sparrow and I hand-painted the pattern using a stencil we created ourselves. :)
Hand-sewn curtains to hide an ugly little cubby in our apartment. Kind of a work-in-progress, but you'd never be able to tell. >:D
And now that Christmas and New Years has passed, we can move on from our old decorations (see
starxd-sparrow.livejournal.com/110587.html for Jess's post about Christmas for more info) to our new decorations. A little early for Valentine's Day, but who's gonna sue?
In the Kitchen
More kitchen!
And finally...
A little art piece I did tonight for
starxd_sparrow to do with as she pleases. :)
And, because I've enjoyed the change, here's some kinda recent pictures of me and my hair over the past month or two... XD
Short hair is short! Also, a little bit blonde. This is my red elk friend, Yakul!
Not long after getting my hair cut. We bleached some of it, which is kinda hard to see here, but is pretty visible in the previous pic.
And then we died the blonde blue-ish. XD
Anyway, it's been cut since then, but I don't have a more recent pic than this. It's kinda nice to be able to do something different with my hair again.
Finally, Larry Luv and I have been speeding our way through Avatar: The Last Airbender. We just finished Book 1 and I was highly impressed with the writing and the story and the pacing. Because we enjoyed it so much, we decided we'd give the live-action movie a go. *facepalm* What a mistake that was!
Aside from the "offensively stupid" dialogue, the characters just seemed... mischaracterized. Aang wasn't anything of the light-hearted kid we were introduced to through the beginning of the series. The graphics were lovely and the bending looks preeeeetty amazing, but I just can't pass a movie on that alone. XD
Ah well. Can't win them all, right?
Oh, and one more thing: still looking for a job, but I found one I'd reeeeeally love to have, so cross your fingers for me, yeah? Because I was super excited reading the job description, and it's a fantastic fit for what I do. :D *thumbs up!*
So, yeah. Crafts. And hair. And jobs. And now I'm going to go practice my Sleep Bending.
