Trip to the Hasan District

Last weekend, my co-worker here in India arranged a roadtrip out of Bangalore and into the countryside. The plan was to drive 200 km west to Belur to see the 900 year old Chennakesava Temple and then either go see the bigger temple that they built 100 years later (Hoysaleswara Temple) in Halebidu or go to Shravanabelagola where the 1000 year old,

i really wish i had gotten to explore india... sometimes business travel really sucks that way -- i spent 2.5 days in bangalore, but it might as well have been fargo for the time i spent seeing it.

I too marvel at how much of the local scene you manage to take in when you travel. Were *all* those pics taken with your iPhone???

I've seen that fluorescent green of nascient plants before so it's a good thing you told us - you're right, the pics don't quite come out, but thanks for sharing anyway. Looks like a fun trip. Ordering dessert while flat on your back and everything.
