Right now in World of Warcraft it's "Children's Week", the yearly event where players are encouraged to visit one of the capital city orphanages and take an AI orphan sight-seeing. They pester you for ice cream and say "Are we there yet?", and it's all pretty cute ( Read more... )

Now, I'm not real familiar with the economy on your server, but... I can't imagine that gold beggars can make anywhere near as much as they would mining COPPER, let alone something that's actually valuable.

Also, oh yeah, I have WoW. I should play it or something. :P

I know, I don't understand it either. Farming wool would also be extremely profitable.

Okay, I'll admit the only thing I know about WoW is that it kept my previous roommate from ever leaving his room or weighing more than 95 pounds and one boyfriend told me years ago that if I ever played it, I'd leave him for it.

That said, the thought of someone "clicking on an orphan" to steal it away with "stranger candy" makes me completely crack up.
