X-Factor (US): General overview
I am somehow hooked to X-Factor (US). I don't even like reality singing shows.
Am rooting for the over-30s group. Each and every one of them wants this so badly. It's refreshing to see them work as if their lives depend on it.
Plus, I feel they have more talent than any of the youngsters. They already have the confidence, their own respective, distinct styles and more stage presence than the rest. Age plays a factor and I hope this helps rather than hinders them.
Never watched the Uk, original version. I wonder how their over 30s group turn out. I remember Oprah did something similar. She got older amateurs for a singing competition and they were quite good too.
However, if the public gets to vote, then one of the younger ones will win this. No different from AI - so blah.
