Oh my goodness! I haven't been on LJ at all since I left for Japan until just now, so I didn't know about what happened with your mother! That is so terrible she broke her wrist in Nara but I'm glad to hear everything worked out (as well as it can when something like that happens!)

I am so sorry that your mom had an accident during your trip, but it's relieving to know there were people who could help. I hope she heals quickly!

Wow, gosh, that's hard, getting hurt abroad -- but if you're gonna get hurt, I guess Japan's the best place? I myself had to check into the hospital about a month or so ago and had a really nice experience. Glad everything worked out okay and hope the healing goes well!
