winter school~

I'm not going ot take any classes this winter quarter (it starts on Monday anyway...), it's just waaaay too stressful for me, especially with my mom breathing down my neck. Then again, she has this ability to make any everyday activity into a heart-attack inducing workload. Or maybe just a migraine

I don't think you are ready for school yet. I know I certainly wasn't when I graduated, but I also am the kind of person who wants to make sure everyone is happy, so I kept going to school even though I really didn't like it. It took a lot of guts for me to move out and go to OC, even though it was only for one quarter. And then I moved to Bellingham! When I was there, I didn't go full time - I couldn't afford it, both money and time wise. I had to work, so I could pay rent, you know?

But yeah. It isn't a bad thing to not be ready for college/university right out of high school - aside from Niki and Leah, all of my friends didn't graduate on time. And now they appreciate school more and know what they want to do.

But you should still get a job.

The main thing though is even if I'm not ready, will mommy really care? I can almost see her shoving me in the back seat of her Honda every morning at 6 and dropping me off on Highline's curb. No, make that 5:30am.

Whenever I write, I always sound so emo, but it's not like I'm trying to, really!

Mommy needs to realize that you are old enough to make decisions on what you want to do with your life. If you were so hesitant about going to school in the past, why didn't she understand that maybe part of that was you not wanted to tell her flat out that you didn't want to be there?

She just wants the all-American dream for us, and she also doesn't want us to worry about being taken care of when we're older.
