Wow. Where to start... This race report is going to be long. And tough. Kinda like the day. There was the good, the bad, and the ugly. Guess I'll just keep it how the day played out, but we'll start a bit before Sunday.
oh mannn at first I didn't read all the details and just wanted to yell, YAY CONGRATS WHAT AN AWESOME DAY FOR YOU!
but then I realized how awful it must have been for you out there! awwww! that's awful. I like, choked up reading it. that is definitely the last last last thing you want to see in a race... damn, that was a hard 13 miles!!! proud of you for pulling through (and with such a big PR too) and glad to hear the boy is doing ok and not more terribly hurt.
part of me is going yay! And celebrating, and Mike is proud of me. The other part of me is making sure he is comfy and has everything he needs and still stressing about it.
thx! Yeah, I was definitely second and third and forth guessing myself. I had to keep focusing on how Mike would have wanted me to keep going in order to not just turn back.
No flippin' way! I can't believe it! I heard about Mike's crash but had no idea it was him! I'm so happy he's okay. What a scary day for you both.
Congratulations on your finish and time. That's truly grace under pressure. Kentucky will be a piece of cake now! There's no way it will be as tough mentally for you.
Tragedy about the Planet X though. Better it than broken bones for Mike, but still tragic! Will he get another one in time?
Take good care of you boy. He's lucky to have you & vice versa!
Oh my god. It makes me sick to my stomach to even see someone I don't know getting hurt in a race. I can't believe you were able to finish so strong (but you're right, it's what he would have wanted). I'm so glad he's okay!
ahh no worries... I wondered who it was. And yeah... I didn't feel I finished as strong as I could have, but I finished. And yes, he is ok (I really like typing that).

Thanks!
Yeah, I think we'll get it sorted out in time. If it comes down to it, I'm just buying him (another) one.
I will, and thanks again. It was fun to meet you, although it was too brief :)
