book shopping

So there is this book that recently came out that people pre-ordered years in advance, showed up in costume to pick up, and stayed up all night to read. I still need a copy. I don't need it now... I have about 1000 pages of reading in the same series before I'll start it. And with how busy life is, that will take a bit of time, so it doesn't matter ( Read more... )

Normally I would vote for buying a used copy somewhere... but since you have personal ties to the bookstore, and since it's a small business, then I opt for paying full price. Circumstances. :)

i usually opt for buying local, but since you're not actually local to the bookstore (even if you do have ties) that makes me think amazon. it is a tough call, tho. i voted cheap, but i'm still wavering. :-/

I'm a cheapo, so I'd buy the cheaper one. I had a dream just last night I started reading the first Harry Potter (I've never read any of them!) and I was so excited because I had several other books in the series to read after! haha

It's definitely a fun series. One of those that I turn to when I'm in the mood for relaxing without having to think a lot, and just enjoying the words.

Oh I definitely want to keep one. They are a series I enjoy rereading.

Fun!

I'm torturing myself by not reading HP until I finish the book I'm already reading (Suite Francaise), only 247 pages to go! I'm doing my best to avoid all spoilers. Like you, my standard reading time has been impacted by all the other things going on. Hopefully, I'll start HP this weekend and I promise no spoilers!
