The xmas shopping aftermath (part II)

Now it is SingNet's turn to be Mr Santa to me! As my broadband plan with pacnet is coming to an end this feb, i'm thinking of signing up with singnet prematurely to get a hold of 1 of their promotional gifts - the wii ($65/mth) or the ipod touch ($45/mth). Hmmm..which one is better?

u do know that the gifts are not "free" right. Like paying installment plan.

Yeah, you r right! There is only about $50 to $100 "profit" when i opt for such freebies compared to plans w/o them.

I am currently paying $38 for a so-slow-the-youtube-bar-goes-like-a-slug 512K pacnet plan :( I will upgrade myself to a $40.71 3Mbps plan with 6 months free subscription in feb :)

For how many months? Can you see if it is cheaper outside? And a Wii and an iphone are very different tho...

For 24 months! Not sure about the wii but the ipod touch retails for S$498 online.

The equivalent plan that doesn't offer a freebie gives 6 months free subscription instead.

I meant to ask how many months will you have to pay for those items.

Think the Wii is selling (mine is gathering dust... but revived by a new game) for S$500 plus, basic set.

They are included in the subscription plans. $65/mth for 6Mbps + Wii and $45/mth for 3Mbps + iPod touch. All on a 2 years basis.

I am just going to wait out becos i dont need an ipod now and if i get a wii, it would probably collect dust too :/

Play games = No painting

It's a zero sum equation. I will rather have the ipod touch if i want a freebie as it will be quite cool for the new house :)

Wii for casual games... you finish them quickly if you are a gamer. I love the fact that they are simple and quick time filler. Also, you can download the older Nintendo and Sega games. I'm itching for some Xbox/Ps3 action, but I have no time to play.
