Man, that's amazing. I really love the detailed shading on the Emperor's face (especially in contrast with the reduced one of his clothing), he feels "alive".

And I can only imagine how great the metallic paint one must look in real life. It's already hard enough just transfering normal colours to the screen nicely.

Yeah, with metallic paint, the scanner seems to highlight bits of it and not others, so you get a weirdly pixelated look, like you went crazy with the contrast. Photographing metallic stuff probably works better...
