fall makes me sleepy

So, yesterday I got a new camera, the Canon PowerShot s410. It's not bad for what I paid for it ($260), so I'm pretty happy with my purchase.

To celebrate, I have started moving my pictures of old into gallery. So far I don't have a lot of stuff in there (I only took a few pictures last night), but you can see my turtles among other thingsFall

how's gallery v2 working out? i have a couple users on a copy of gallery v1 and i've been wondering if it's safe to migrate yet. i've heard mixed opinions so far.

S'not ready yet. I didn't really use v1 much, and while v2 is mostly there (for being on alpha2), I am still getting a weird error here and there.

Plus there aren't really any themes or anything out for it yet.

that's what i figured. the theme thing was a big thing for me and i'm hoping for a migration script of sorts so i don't spend hours moving pictures over.

by the way, i'm in the city now. i met up with mike this last weekend for a few drinks. i'm currently looking for a job but the market seems to be as slow as ever :\

I'm sure there will be migration stuff, but I don't know for sure because I didn't have v1 installed :)

Good luck on the job hunt, I haven't seen a whole lot of openings around but then again I haven't been looking :/

Gallery is pretty neat, although I'm still tweaking it. I got a little mod_rewrite action going on so old pics are still accessable, but I'm out to lunch on whether or not I am going to bother moving old (1999-2002) images into gallery.

I'm going to get some macro pics of the turtles sooner or later, those should be really cool if I can get them to sit still long enough :)

Thats the same camera I have, good choice! I really like it, nice and small.
