[Report] Rurouni Kenshin Asian Premiere
I'm back from the....dead? ^o^
As much as I want to start this entry with caps and keysmash (because everything feels so surreal *___*), I better start it with some sane things haha xD
Warning: It's going to be long and dragging (I think :P)
Two weeks ago, it was announced that the cast and crew of Rurouni Kenshin picked the Philippines for the Asian red carpet premiere for Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno. When I got the news, I was at work and I wanted to throw something and scream at the top of my lungs (but of course, I cannot because my kiddos would be curious and poke me for whatever made me scream xD)
Everyone was on cloud nine! Including me - we started countdowns and definitely looked forward to the said event. Later on, our hearts were crushed (just a tiny bit) when they announced that the Asian premiere was purely invitational ;uuuu; Good thing there were contests and promos that were held by Warner Bros and SM Cinema.Yet luck wasn't on my side so I didn't win =_____=
Days passed and the 2 day event was fast approaching, I decided even if I have no pass, I will go and see the cast! That's the giri giri life lol xD So I left work early but got stuck in traffic. My heart was beating fast because what if once I arrive, they are in the cinema already and I won't be able to see them. LUCKILY, I managed to arrive just on time before lots of fans crowded behind the barricades.
With my phone ready, I gazed intently at the entrance ( I was near it so basically I am one of the fans that got the first look of Sato Takeru, Takei Emi and Munetaka Aoki). Once the host announced their arrival, the fans went wild!! The first one to walk down the red carpet was Director Keishi Otomo who smiled and bowed in gratitude to the fans.
Next up was dun dun dun duuuuun~!
Sato Takeruuuuu! Holy sht this man. So gorgeous and flawless. I was blinded :") He smiled to everyone while waving his hand. He was wearing a black tux and black shiny shoes. The fans went crazier than before! Everyone was screaming most especially when Sato approached some fans and signed autographs!!
THE GREAT SATO TAKERU SIGNED AUTOGRAPHS *_____* ( and so did Takei Emi, Munetaka Aoki)
Takei Emi came next. I'm so disappointed that I wasn't able to take a video of her because yeah, Sato pretty much got my attention even if he was far from me already xD Anyway, she's so pretty! Clad in white blouse and black pencil skirt with matching black shoes, her hair was in a bun. So simple but so classy! Her smile was really cute and just like Sato, she went to the fans and signed autographs.
The last one to walk down the red carpet was Munetaka Aoki. For me, he should win an OOTD award LOL. This man is so cute and funny - wearing a tux but matched it with slippers. OH SANOSUKE xDDD
He was so hyper and jolly! I think he became the mood maker during the event. A perfect example was when he noticed that the fans were too caught up with Sato and Emi 8DDD
Fans: Emi! Emi! Emi!!!
Emi smiled and waved even to those on the 2nd and 3rd floor; and fans screamed again.
Fans: Sato! Takeru! Sato! Takeru!!!
Just like Emi, Sato smiled and waved to the fans, who were in their craziest mode already.
Aoki looked left and right before raising and pumping his fists up in the air screaming,
"SANO! SANO! SANO!"
The fans were amused by this and joined in the chant. Aoki was satisfied and blew kisses to the fans.
It was at this time that my heart exploded. Sato Takeru fckn noticed meeeee >w< He was looking around, checking the fans. Some were busy getting their photos or whatever RK merchandise signed. I spotted him and waved my hand excitedly, trying to get his attention.
HE SAW ME, SMILED AND WAVED BACK.
I thought I was about to die at that moment but ASDFGHLKJ SATO TAKERU NOTICED AND FELT MY PRESENCE FOR A MINUTE. *_____________________*
Later on, they were called to huddle by the end of the red carpet for a short picture taking before the host called them one by one on the stage.
A short Q&A session happened. Everyone shouted, "Magandang gabi po!" (Good evening!) Right after that, the host asked questions such as "what is your message to the fans?" "what should the fans looked forward to in this movie?" "(specifically asked to Emi) Being the youngest, what did you learn from your older co-stars?"
As expected, Emi's voice was teeny tiny and cute! Everyone practically explained that it's their first time to be here and they are loving it already! It shocked them how warm and welcoming the fans are! Because of this, all of them started speaking in Filipino.
TOO CUTE OUO
Sato speaking in Filipino was priceless too~! He goes, "Kamusta? Ako po si Takeru Sato. Masaya akong makita kayo!" (How are you? I am Takeru Sato. I'm so happy to see all of you)
They ended the session with Aoki telling everyone "Mahal ko kayo." (I love you) which got Sato's interest and asked him about it. He then explained it to Emi and Director Keishi and they all took turns saying "Mahal ko kayo!"
Tbh, Sato's "Mahal ko kayo" sounded so ero xDDDD YOU GORGEOUS BB.
And with that the Red carpet event ended. My friend and I rushed to Cinema 9 to see if we can get a glimpse again before they enter the movie house for the premiere but it seemed that the cast and crew went on a secret passage so we just left LOL.
Anyway, I'm really happy that I was given a chance to see them. I've been a fan of Rurouni Kenshin since I was 10 years old (and I'm 21 already xD). I remember the times when I would be in a hurry to go home from school just so I can watch the anime. I even used to mark my cheek with a red lipstick and pretend I have a scar too haha silly me :P
So when the movie trilogy was announced last year, all the feels were back. Add in Sato Takeru (whom I've always admired since Mei-chan days - look at that "butler in the making," he's a hot samurai now :P) and Takei Emi (I first saw her in Taisetsu na and I like her so much), this movie is definitely one of my favorites.
Lastly, I hope that when Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends shows next month, the cast will be back here. Besides they expressed their want to come back :") Kindly bring Kamiki and Maryjun too :DDD
And with that, I'll go back to my semi-hiatus state. I'll see you guys soon, with a fic hopefully which superhero0008 and I have been working for about...a year already /bricked/
