Stupid Mole!

I have a small mole on my back. I don't ever remember not having it, so it must have been around for a long time. Earlier this week, I noticed that it was bleeding. I would recommend going to the dermatologist. If it has to be removed (for any reason) you are going to want a dermatologist do it and NOT a regular physician. In fact, sometimes the physician will just refer you to a dermatologist.

That's just my suggestion after having to have my mole removed from under my arm this year. The dermatologist did it quick and without any real pain (even over the days following) and it was under my arm!

I've had moles removed a few times by my regular doctor without any problem (or pain) at all. So if you really think there's nothing wrong (and you just irritated it), then you're probably safe with primary physician who can refer if you if necessary.
Also, I also recently noticed a mole that was out of whack and figured I irritated it--I just waited a week, and it went back to normal on its own.

there my 2 cents.

Harms. :)

I would check with your insurance, first. Some insurance companies make you get a referral for a specialist, so you'd have to see a primary care physician anyways, making the whole point moo(t).

Either way, I'd definitely get it checked out. Minor inconvenience is better than skin cancer. Of course, I'm used to trying to get SB to go to the doctor (which seems to be entirely hopeless), so I tend to go for the dramatic, worse-chance possibilities. "Your arm could FALL OFF if you don't see a doctor."
