You can also ask your friends for help...one's who have done that before...I mean burned themselves of course.

I prefer to learn by doing, thanks for the offer though.

The point of this post was to serve as a reminder for me (and a simple lesson for others). Youtube rules!

I've done that too, without burning myself, and 11 years of catholic school tought me a pretty mean windsor knot. I'm gonna side with Rob on this one, you tube is great, but your friends, know some shit too, and they can help not just teach.

Yeah, so soldering was much easier the second time around (it seriously took a fraction of the time in comparison to my first attempt).

Go figure, capillary action working in my favor...damn science!
