Good heavens, GF, no wonder we haven't had a chance to catch up. Your breath is still five states away from your body! What a BUSY year for you.
Seattle is a great place. If it had more sun I'd think about moving there. My two nephews and my 'sister' and her main squeeze live in Washington and it would be lovely to be closer to them. I really enjoyed Seattle when I visited a bit more than ten years ago.
Have a fun time in SD. I have several friends from LJ in that general area, as well as beading friends, so I suspect I'll make it that direction one of these years. Travel safely and let's make sure we catch up a bit when you return home again.
Just spoke with the mother-to-be. She's so excited! They are having a warm spell. I do hope they send it this way, tho' we must get through the wintry weather you are sending us first.
Wow! I understand 'life tsumanis!' I went through that kind of year a few times (I am remembering the year that both of my kids went from singled to having a child each in one year! That was pretty overwhelmed--they may have acted in haste, but I got two bright, beautiful grandchildren out it at least!) Wow. I am very impressed with yours--so many things and so many resolved positively. Good luck on finding a new hearing aide. I think I am in the middle of a year like that, but started late. I still have six months. I would love to do as well before the end of mine! I am impressed with you. You give me hope.
I kind of mentally make fun of Seattle. But I probably would do well to live somewhere like that. I have a friend who lives there and she loves the greyish, rainy weather and the kind of laid-back, new-agey vibe of it.
but they are also very Nice, which takes some getting used toThat would be a stretch for me too. New York is weird--no one is very Nice, but actually a lot of people are rather neighborly in a gruff, abrasive kind
( ... )
Good to hear from you. You certainly had lots of life challenges, but it's good to know that with lots of work set-backs can be overcome. I truly hope 2015 is better for you. I've never been to the Northwest. Would love to go sometime. Hugs!
