Today and yesterday, Mom and I cleared the hill.

We had gardeners for years, and Mom loved Javier, the one who would always help out with extra things in the yard and do everything really well, and then he was deported and the other guys are no Javier and so she finally let them go, which means that the hill has been covered with brush and weeds

I am under that impression with housework. Housework thumbs its nose at that impression.

Here in the Fire State, you can't have a big fire trap on your land

Nor here in the flume. I'm glad that this year managed to get through the fire season with no deaths, despite some fairly bad days. Mind you I may be speaking too soon as there's still a fire going in the open cut mine that is severely affecting air quality in the region nearby.
