Indy

Ok, so, I've been wandering around random forums checking out what ppl had to say about Indy4... I'm too scared to post among die hard fans so i'm gonna get my explanations off my chest here.

#1. Mutt swinging on vines with the monkeys = Remember WAAAY back in Raiders of the Lost Ark when Marian was carrying around that monkey? She called it their(her and Indy's) baby. Its a silly nod back to that line(IMO) so get over it.

#2. Mutt's name = Its a pun off of Indy's name... Indiana and a nod to the line in The Last Crusade when Indy's daddy says "Its his name! Henry Jones Jr... We named the dog Indiana." after Sallah asks why he keeps calling Indy, Junior. DOG... Mutt... you get the idea.

#3. Aliens = Oh god! If i hear/read another word about this I'm gonna punch someone... ok, Jill was right, they were 'aliens' in the literal sense of the word. 'not from here' basically. But they were not from outer space, they were inter-dimensional... they weren't supposed to be futuristic. If they were the tribe would have had laptops, cell phones and flying cars, but they didn't, they learned irrigation and farming. thats pretty much it.

#4. Mutt w/jacket figurine = ok... this one is about toys, not the movie. Anyways, I finally opened up my Mutt figure last night and the 'Hidden Relic' that he came with was the Spear of Destiny. Immediately when i saw what it was i laughed out loud at the cleverness but when i looked it up online no one had gotten the connection. They could have given that relic to ANY of the figures and it wouldn't have mattered but they gave it to Mutt Williams who was played by Shia LaBeouf who played Chas Kramer in Constantine which was pretty much all about keeping the spear of destiny away from the son of the devil.
