I went to McDonalds yesterday to try and get a Pikachu toy from their Pokemon kids meal promotion.

Mako, right now, is basically exactly the kind of character people would hate if he were a girl. That whole "just there as the love interest" thing. I'm glad Asami called him out, but jeez, there are only two episodes left in this arc! I'm feeling distinctly unsatisfied with both of them right now.

I still like Asami, but Mako has been annoying me for a while.

I know it's too late for him to change in this season, but I'm hoping he'll see some character development in the second season. I'm also hoping that he won't have a girlfriend or love interest in the second season, but that's probably too much to ask, considering the target audience of this show.

You know, you can go in and just buy a specific toy at McD's right? Like you can just go through teh drive thru and ask for a toy. It's just a few dollars. Totally worth it.

Yeah, I know you can, but it seems like a waste to pay for a toy when the food is only a tiny bit more. Especially considering the fact that my mom wanted the drink that came with the kids meal.

Looking back on it, I should have just bought the toy... but I didn't realize my reaction to the McDonalds food would be as bad as it was. (I expected to feel bad for an hour or two, but I felt bad for the rest of the night, and a little bit of the next morning.)

also that is definitely not first class. Even if they lined it with gold bars, once its over 13oz it can't go first class anyway.

They either overcharged you or put it in the hugest heaviest lined with gold bars box and sent it priority or parcel. :I

I didn't know it was swapped until I got home, unfortunately. I'm not even sure if they HAD Pikachus or if they just thought they did.

I'm hoping that they sent it Priority... though that's doubtful, since the package should be under 13 oz. If it turns out that they sent it First Class but charged me $9 anyway, I'm going to leave them bad feedback on their shipping cost.

What's even more annoying is that I specifically asked how much combined shipping would be before I bought the items. The price they quoted me was $8.60, but they ended up charging me $9.20. I mean, it's only a 50 cent difference, but if they're planning to overcharge me by $4-$5 anyway...

They could have stupidly put it into a flat rate box, but even then they would have undercharged themself. :\ I'm not sure... but now I'm curious as to what they did.

They could have, but I'm 99% sure the items would have fit in a small flat rate box, which means they'd still be overcharging me by $3.

I'm kind of curious too, to be honest. I'll probably complain... either to tell them that they have no idea how to properly ship things, or to tell them that overcharging by $5 is unacceptable, depending on how they shipped it.

Yes yes yes, please make the brothers a bit more interesting from here on out.... Mako is just Mr. tall, dark and handsome while Bolin is nothing but comic relief. PLEASE let's get some depth in hereeee.

I will admit this is actually the first episode I've cried during while watching Korra?? I thought seeing Aang again would but it turns out Tenzin being all scared for his family and Lin's scene, oh god Lin's scene..... I never saw that coming. Goshhhhhh.

I like Bolin as comic relief, but I agree that he needs more depth. My favorite thing about the brothers is how they look after each other. Can we get more of that, please? Maybe even flashbacks of their childhood?

You actually cried? I heard that from a few people, but I assumed they were exaggerating. I generally don't cry over TV shows or movies though.

The Lin scene really caught me off guard too. I didn't think anyone in the main cast (Tahno aside) would actually lose their bending. I still can't believe that it's permanent. I think she'll find a way to get it back, somehow...

Hahah yeah, I get emotional over TV shows/movies sometimes if I'm really invested in it.

I hope it's not permanent too, maybe it's just an advanced chakra locking technique... Like how Aang's chakra was locked by Azula and he couldn't go into the avatar state? ffff I hope we find out soon how it works.

I do suspect that more of the main cast will have their bending taken, though. I think at least one of the brothers will.... I hope it's Mako only because I love Bolin too much

I always thought that Korra would get her bending taken away in the final episode, but she would find some way to make it non-permanent. I guess I should say that I thought no one would get their bending taken away before the finale.

From my days of collecting mass amounts of happy meal toys - Each location gets a certain toy or two that they give out for however long, then they switch to one or two other toys and so on until they change toys. That may have changed over the years though. You best bet would be to go into a McDonalds and make them pull out the toys for you.

When Asami told him that he shouldn't blame Bolin, I fist pumped the air and yelled FUCK YEAH and then flailing happened. DUDE ASAMI IS SO AWESOME I don't want her to become bad, just...just kick Mako in his tiny nonexistent balls.

I'm normally reserved when I watch TV shows, but I cheered when Asami told Mako off. You go, girl. Tell him what for! And then dump him and get with Korra or Tahno if he ever shows up again.
