1. What did you do in 2014 that you'd never done before?
Quit my job, met my favorite author, sold over 1,000 copies of my books for actual money, sold over 12,000 copies of my novels for free, sold a copy of my novel to someone famous (Orlando "Trollando" Jones, if you can fucking believe it.), and got to speak to Jon Huertas (Det. Javier Esposito on Castle) via Facebook. I also was fortunate enough to meet the Nostalgia Critic and motherfuckin' Prince Zuko himself Dante Basco. Evidence below.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Didn't have any. New Years' Resolutions are never meant to be kept anyway: we just do them to make ourselves feel worthwhile. I probably won't make some for next year other than "keep my head above water". (Copied from last year)

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My cousin Layla and my "little" sister Christina.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Technically, no, but Robin Williams' death brought me to tears. I still can't believe he's gone. He gave us so many amazing memories. RIP.

5. What countries did you visit?
The Magical Land of SHUT UP! (Also copied from last year. xD)

6. What would you like to have in 2014 that you lacked in 2013?
Actual legitimate sales and a readership.

7. What date from 2014 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Dragon*Con 2014, the day I got to meet Jim Butcher (author of the Dresden Files) and told him he's a sadist for writing the ending to Changes and for Chapter 14 of Skin Game. He laughed his ass off, waggled his eyebrows, and gave me this hilariously facetious, "Oh, I'm SORRY!" That was the most perfect moment all year long. Jim Butcher really does have a lot of Harry Dresden in him. And I got his autograph!

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Sold over 12,000 copies of all my books combined. Granted, 11,000 were free copies, but it still counts as passing from my hands into the readers'.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Not finding a damned writing job. My novels aren't selling as well as they should be either.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nope.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
The complete series of Danny Phantom for like $10, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City for $10 a piece, damn near the entire Dresden Files series for $4 a piece, and two pairs of kick ass gorgeous boots for $94 (BOGO free from Macy's, bitches!)

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My Twin. She finished law school and passed the BAR on her first try! So proud.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
The police pretty much every fucking where.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Food, gas, student loan, car payment, and movies, but actually I got a few outfits this year, more than I've bought in one calendar year.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Meeting Jim Butcher, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Interstellar, and Guardians of the Galaxy.

16. What song will always remind you of 2014?
I Wanna Get Better by The Bleachers.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

i. happier or sadder? Sadder because of my lack of employment and fact that I'm still stuck with my parents.

ii. thinner or fatter? Fatter, actually. I'm 26 now so I will have to start exercising until I get a new job.

iii. richer or poorer? Poorer. Much, much poorer. Again, unemployed.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Dating.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Spending money.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Saw my family in Riverdale and then spent Christmas Day with my folks.

21. At any point in the past year did you do something that you consider completely out of your usual character? Talked to my sister in law about being a virgin. I usually don't discuss that with anyone.

22. Did you fall in love in 2014?
No.

23. How many one-night stands?
TWELVE! xDD No, I'm kidding. None. AGAIN. T-T

24. What was your favorite TV program?
Castle, hands down. Special mention goes to Justified, Archer, Agents of SHIELD (season two, anyway) and the Colbert Report.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Seriously, I'm getting really sick of the faux feminists on Tumblr. There's one girl I want to unfollow because she posts the same fucking shit every day but she also posts really funny fandom shit so I don't know how to find someone new who posts the same content except without the fake feminist shit and annoying posts about Lee Pace and that terrible Keira Knightley Pride and Prejudice movie.

26. What was the best book you read this year?
Skin Game by Jim Butcher.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Pepper by The Butthole Surfers (yes, that is really the band's name), I Wanna Get Better by The Bleachers, God's Whisper by Raury, Sister Rust by Damon Albarn, Mack the Knife as sung by Louis Armstrong, Golden Years by David Bowie, and A Million Ways by Uncle Lucius.

28. What did you want and get?
MONEY. God. I needed it so bad. Other than that, I bought nearly the entirety of The Dresden Files, Batman: Arkham Asylum/City, Archer S4, and Maleficent.

29. What did you want and not get?
Castle s6, Justified s4/s5, Archer s5, and pretty much anything on my Christmas list other than the money.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Interstellar are pretty much all tied for the top spot, with Maleficent in second place.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Turned 26. Went to dinner with my parents in Orlando, FL at an all you can eat seafood buffet. Resigned myself to die a virgin.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
If I'd have gotten LAID. Yeah. >.>

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2014?
"Ah, who cares, no one wants to date me anyway so I'm just gonna where whatever I want." (Reposted from 2012, sadly.)

34. What kept you sane?
My music, occasional Terry smut fantasies, and my awesome support system. Especially Maggie, a friend I met on Tumblr.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and Chris Pratt, the Chris trifecta.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
What the FUCK is with this year and mass shootings? I don't think there is one exact thing we can do to help gun control because it's impossible but damn, we need to figure this shit out, okay? (It is REALLY sad that this is reposted from 2012. America, get your shit TOGETHER.)

37. Who did you miss?
My roommates.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Probably some of my fans. Like, actual fans of my books. There's only a couple, but they've connected with me on Twitter and it's really nice.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2014.
“Rejection isn't failure. Failure is giving up. Everybody gets rejected. It's how you handle it that determines where you'll end up.” -Richard Castle, 'Castle'

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
"I won't compromise
I won't live a life on my knees
You think I am nothing
I am nothing
You got something coming, something coming because
I hear God's whisper
Calling my name
It's in the wind
I am the savior."
-"God's Whisper", Raury
